Hello and welcome to my blog!

Thanks for wanting to know more about me.

I have been sporadically writing in this space for over ten years (had to check my archives).

I struggle with describing myself, which is likely why I haven't set this page up until now.

Most simply.  I am a child of God--not just because He made me (we're all His children in that sense), but because He saved me through my faith in Jesus (and He says that makes me His child, adopted into His forever family.  I'd love to tell you more about Jesus, just leave me a comment here.

So, this basic identity of "Child of God" is what defines me, and, I pray, drives all I that I do.  I'm definitely in progress and have much growing to do! 

However, to let you know more, these are some of my roles:

• Wife, to Mike, for over two decades.
• Mom, to three kiddos.
• Homemaker, retired from engineering many moons ago.
• Volunteer, at an interdenominational Bible study, at my church, and at my kids' school.
• Friend.
• Neighbor.
• Student, always looking to learn something.
• Writer, here. I am writing to find others who struggle like I do and may appreciate the view from a few steps ahead.  I want to share what I have learned and what I am learning.  I want to always point to God as the source of all that I have.
